• Del Rey joined indie band The Fastest Kids In School on Saturday, Sept. 27, during their outdoor set outside Institution taproom in Santa Barbara.
• The group was covering her 2014 Ultraviolence single West Coast when she approached and offered to sing.
• Band member Dan Grimes said Del Rey told them she was out getting ice cream and asked to join for a brief one-song performance.
• Footage posted by the band on Instagram quickly spread online, with the musicians calling it a show they will never forget.
• Del Rey recently said her next album, Stove, is now expected in early 2026 after additional recording, including work in Nashville with producer Luke Laird and collaborator Jack Antonoff, and she is slated to play the Harvest Moon benefit in Lake Hughes on Oct. 25.
