Lamborghini Used by Leonardo DiCaprio in 'The Wolf of Wall Street' to be Auctioned at Estimated $1.5-$2 Million
Lamborghini, damaged in film and preserved in "as-filmed" state, to be sold at Bonham Cars' inaugural sale in Abu Dhabi on November 25 along with key movie memorabilia signed by Scorsese, DiCaprio, and Margot Robbie.
- The Lamborghini Countach used by Leonardo DiCaprio in 'The Wolf of Wall Street' is to be auctioned at Bonham Cars' inaugural auction on November 25.
- The vehicle, also called the 'Hero Car,' was damaged in the film and will be sold in its 'as-filmed' condition, contributing to its estimated value of between $1.5 to $2 million.
- Additional damage was done to the car during filming on director Martin Scorsese's instructions to make it appear more wrecked in later scenes; this unique history is expected to add to the car's appeal at auction.
- The Hero Car, one of only 658 25th anniversary editions produced, appears in the film for about three minutes during which DiCaprio's character, Jordan Belfort, crashes it under the influence of Quaaludes.
- The auction will also feature key 'The Wolf of Wall Street' memorabilia, including one of four iconic costumes, a director's chair and clapboard signed by Scorsese, DiCaprio, and Margot Robbie, letters of authenticity, and some crew hoodies.
