- Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said 52-year-old Hector Lionel Alfaro killed his 48-year-old wife and their 17-year-old daughter before fatally shooting himself inside the family’s Lakewood home.
- Deputies responded around 8 a.m. Thursday to the 5800 block of Lorelei Avenue and found three people with gunshot wounds who were pronounced dead at the scene.
- Investigators said the eldest daughter awoke to gunfire, reported that her father shot at her multiple times and missed, and she was detained for questioning but not considered a suspect.
