Overview
- Chicago police say four people were shot around 1:45 a.m. Sunday in the 3400 block of North Clark Street in Lakeview.
- Officers report a suspect jumped out of a white pickup, opened fire on people standing outside, and fled northbound; nobody is in custody.
- The Lakeview victims—three men ages 29, 28, and 29, and a 29-year-old woman—sustained limb wounds and are expected to be OK.
- In University Village, a Friday afternoon drive-by on the 1300 block of West Grenshaw Street fatally wounded 15-year-old John Thomas, who was shot in the chest and leg and died at Stroger Hospital.
- Three men were also shot during a North Lawndale gathering after an argument turned physical; the two 19-year-olds and a 28-year-old were hit in the legs and are in good condition as police investigate with no arrests reported.
