Lakers Bolster Coaching Staff with Veterans Nate McMillan and Scott Brooks

New head coach JJ Redick gains experienced assistants as he transitions to his first NBA coaching role.

Nate McMillan and Scott Brooks bring a combined 31 seasons of head-coaching experience to the Lakers.
McMillan has previously coached the Hawks, Pacers, Trail Blazers, and SuperSonics.
Brooks' coaching career includes stints with the Thunder and Wizards, most recently assisting with the Trail Blazers.
Redick, hired in June, is prioritizing a strong support team for his debut season.
The Lakers also re-signed LeBron James to a two-year, $104 million deal.
