Lainey Wilson was the star of the 57th annual Country Music Association Awards, taking home five awards, including Entertainer of the Year, becoming the first woman since Taylor Swift in 2011 to receive the title.
Wilson's album, "Bell Bottom Country," was awarded Album of the Year and her collaboration with Hardy, "Wait in the Truck," won Music Video and Musical Event of the Year, marking the singer's sweeping success.
Luke Combs received Single of the Year for his cover of Tracy Chapman’s 1988 hit “Fast Car,” which has seen substantial success on the Billboard Hot 100.
Tracy Chapman, although not in attendance, won Song of the Year, making her the first Black woman to win a CMA Award in its history.
Other winners included Chris Stapleton for Male Vocalist of the Year, and Jelly Roll for New Artist of the Year, notably at 39 years old, highlighting the diverse talent at the awards.
