LAIKA Revives ParaNorman for Halloween Theatrical Run With New Short and 3D Remaster

The four-night event marks the studio’s 20th‑anniversary push to reintroduce its stop‑motion favorite on the big screen.

Overview

  • The rerelease runs for four nights in the U.S. from Oct. 25–28 in newly remastered RealD 3D and 2D, with tickets now on sale.
  • A companion CG short, ParaNorman: The Thrifting, expands the universe with a script by original co-writer Chris Butler and direction by LAIKA’s Thibault LeClercq.
  • Anna Kendrick returns as Courtney, Finn Wolfhard voices a new character named Chad, and Norman and Neil are voiced by Brayden Gleave and Beckett James Maillard.
  • International screenings begin Oct. 23, with Trafalgar Releasing handling the rollout outside the U.S.
  • Early ticket demand has prompted additional showtimes, with sales outpacing prior LAIKA rereleases before 2024 and more than half of purchases reported for 3D presentations.
