Overview
- The revised tariff is in force with immediate effect on the Northern Loop, Southern Loop, and Eastern Bypass.
- Cars and jeeps now pay Rs70, up from Rs60, while Hiace vans, wagons, minibuses, and coasters are charged Rs140, up from Rs120.
- Bus tolls rise to Rs350 from Rs300, two to three axle heavy vehicles move to Rs420 from Rs360, and trucks or trailers with more than three axles now pay Rs700 from Rs600.
- Exemptions include ambulances, defence and police vehicles, firefighting and funeral vans, Ring Road Authority vehicles, and vehicles on official state visits.
- Local reports say daily commuters, public transport users, and freight operators face higher trip costs with no grace period for the change.
