Lahore Court Extends Remand of Six Cybercrime Officials in Ducky Bhai Bribery Probe

The case centers on claims that NCCIA officers took Rs9 million to shield the YouTuber from an inquiry.

Overview

  • A Lahore judicial magistrate extended by three days the physical remand of six NCCIA officials after the FIA sought more time to investigate.
  • The FIA told the court it has recovered Rs45.8 million so far and said further custody is needed to trace additional victims and funds.
  • Defence counsel opposed the request, noting the alleged loss was Rs9 million, questioning the absence of a complainant and any recorded witness statements.
  • Those remanded include Additional Director Sarfraz Chaudhry along with Zafar, Shoaib Riaz, Ali Raza, Mujtaba Zafar and Yasir, who are accused of taking bribes from the YouTuber’s wife.
  • Separately, the Lahore High Court scheduled Saad ur Rehman’s post-arrest bail hearing for today as investigators allege he promoted illegal gambling apps, recovered Rs21 million from his accounts and cite a purported $326,000 Binance transfer linked to an accused officer.
