LaFleur Says Parsons Could Begin Packers’ 21-Day Practice Window Next Week

The coach said doctors must clear Parsons before he re-enters practice which would start a multi-week on-field ramp to game readiness.

Overview

  • Coach Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that there is a chance Micah Parsons could begin practicing next week and added “I sure hope so.”
  • Parsons remains on the reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list and the Packers can open a 21-day practice window at any time under NFL rules.
  • If the window opens the team must either activate Parsons to the 53-man roster or return him to PUP at the end of the three weeks.
  • Multiple reports and team commentary say Parsons would need practice reps to ramp up so a playing return is unlikely right away with Week 10 a best-case and Week 12 after the bye more likely.
  • Parsons was acquired in a high-profile trade and was an All-Pro pass rusher before his Dec. 14, 2025 ACL and meniscus injury, so his return would materially boost Green Bay’s pass rush and alter short-term roster roles.
