Overview
- The parade is scheduled to start at 11:00 from Mansion House, head to the Royal Courts of Justice, and return along the three-mile route.
- Dame Susan Langley will ride in the historic State Coach and swear an Oath of Allegiance at the Royal Courts in keeping with long-standing tradition.
- Around 7,000 participants, more than 50 decorated floats, 200 horses and multiple marching bands are set to take part across the Square Mile.
- Extensive road closures across the City began early, with some streets shut from midnight and restrictions expected to remain until at least 16:00.
- BBC One is broadcasting the event for viewers at home, with a Met Office forecast of mild, largely dry conditions and highs near 15C.
