• The VMAs aired live from UBS Arena on CBS and MTV with Paramount+ streaming, debuting on broadcast TV and adding Best Pop Artist and Best Country.
• Lady Gaga finished as the top winner with four Moon Person trophies, including Artist of the Year plus wins for direction, art direction and collaboration.
• Ariana Grande won Video of the Year for “brighter days ahead” and also took Best Pop and Best Longform Video.
• Sabrina Carpenter claimed Album of the Year for Short n' Sweet and the new Best Pop Artist award, as women won 24 of 30 categories.
• Special honors went to Mariah Carey (Video Vanguard), Busta Rhymes (Rock the Bells Visionary) and Ricky Martin (Latin Icon), alongside an Ozzy Osbourne tribute featuring Yungblud with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry.
