• The VMAs air Sept. 7 at 8 p.m. ET from UBS Arena in New York, with a first-time live CBS broadcast, an MTV simulcast and Paramount+ streaming.
• Mariah Carey will perform and receive the Video Vanguard Award, as Busta Rhymes earns the inaugural Rock the Bells Visionary Award and Ricky Martin is honored as the first Latin Icon.
• Confirmed performers include Doja Cat, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, Jelly Roll, Tate McRae, J Balvin with DJ Snake, Sombr, Alex Warren and Conan Gray.
• Lady Gaga leads all nominees with 12, followed by Bruno Mars with 11 and Kendrick Lamar with 10, with strong showings for Sabrina Carpenter, ROSÉ, Ariana Grande and The Weeknd.
• Fan voting is open on the VMAs site through Sept. 5, with Best New Artist voting continuing into the live show.
