Overview
- Competition begins before the opening ceremony with wheelchair rugby on Aug. 13 and boccia on Aug. 14, followed by the Aug. 15 opener at SoFi Stadium.
- The first medals will be awarded on Aug. 16 in para track and field, wheelchair fencing, shooting para sport, para equestrian and track cycling.
- The program features 23 sports with 560 medal events across 294 sessions designed to balance athlete wellbeing and global broadcast needs.
- Paraclimbing will make its Paralympic debut on Aug. 24 in Long Beach as part of the expanded slate.
- The Games conclude on Aug. 27 with multiple finals before a 6 p.m. closing ceremony at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, marking the city’s first Paralympics.
