Overview

  • LA28 has inked inaugural deals with Honda for the Anaheim Honda Center and Comcast for the temporary squash venue at Universal Studios.
  • The program replaces the clean venue rule with a clean field-of-play approach that bars branding on playing surfaces but allows corporate venue names.
  • Naming rights for up to 19 temporary venues are now available to Olympic Partner sponsors and LA28’s top domestic partners.
  • Iconic sites including the LA Memorial Coliseum, Rose Bowl and Dodger Stadium are excluded from the pilot to preserve landmark names.
  • Organizers estimate the naming-rights pilot could yield nine-figure returns for a fully privately funded Games and will be assessed by the IOC for future hosts.
