LA Model Maleesa Marie Mooney Found Dead in Refrigerator, Autopsy Confirms Homicidal Violence

Model was bound, gagged and beaten before being placed in fridge; found two months pregnant with no suspects yet identified despite signs of device usage after her death.

  • LA-based model, Maleesa Marie Mooney, aged 31, was found dead in her apartment, her body beaten and bound, then stuffed into her refrigerator according to the autopsy report from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. An alert on Mooney's iCloud indicated that someone was using her devices after her death.
  • Mooney was two months pregnant at the time of her violent death, a detail confirmed by her sister, Jourdin Pauline. The 31-year-old model had always dreamed of becoming a mother.
  • The autopsy report revealed traces of cocaine and alcohol in Mooney's system, along with blunt force traumatic injuries to several parts of her body. The role drugs and alcohol may have played in her death remains uncertain.
  • Despite the horrifying circumstances of Mooney's demise, the police have not yet made any arrests in connection to her case. Her family are grieving her loss, and puzzled by the details surrounding her death.
  • Another model in the LA area, Nichole “Nikki” Coats, was found dead just two days before Mooney's body was discovered, leading to fear among local residents. However, Coats' death was ruled as a result of accidental overdose of cocaine and alcohol, and the police have found no evidence linking the two deaths.
