Overview

  • On Dec. 9, the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner certified the manner of death as suicide and the cause as blunt traumatic injuries from a fall.
  • Romney, 64, was found the night of Oct. 10 at the base of a five-story parking garage on Town Center Drive in Santa Clarita and was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • A deputy medical examiner examined the body on Oct. 11 and the office certified the cause and manner of death on Dec. 9.
  • The office said a full investigative report will be released at a future date after previously requesting additional testing and studies.
  • She was married to Mitt Romney’s brother, George “Scott” Romney, who filed for divorce in June after a May 25 separation, and the family has asked for privacy.
