Overview

  • Primera División kicks off on the weekend of August 17, 2025 and concludes on May 24, 2026, while Segunda División runs until May 31 before promotion playoffs June 7–21.
  • The season will pause for a winter break from December 21 to January 4 alongside four international breaks scheduled for World Cup qualifying.
  • Three midweek matchdays in Primera and one in Segunda have been inserted to accommodate the 2026 World Cup in North America.
  • FC Barcelona has requested to play its initial home fixtures away to expedite renovations at Spotify Camp Nou.
  • Fixture details for each club will be determined by a draw at the end of June and may adjust for Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid if they advance in the Club World Cup.
