Kyrgios Withdraws From Halle Open With Recurring Knee Injury, Hopes to Recover for Wimbledon

Kyrgios had knee surgery in January and returned to action last week at the Stuttgart Open.
He felt a recurrence of the injury while training in Halle and withdrew from the tournament.
Kyrgios reached the semifinals in Halle last year but will be replaced this year by Aslan Karatsev.
Kyrgios said he wanted to give his body the best chance to be ready for Wimbledon, which begins July 3.
The grass court event in Halle is seen as a warmup event for the grass court Grand Slam at Wimbledon.
