Kylian Mbappe Scores Twice in PSG's 3-2 Victory Over Brest, Reaches 250 Career Club Goals

Mbappe's league-leading 10th goal of the season pushes PSG to a narrow victory yet still a point behind league leader Nice.

  • Kylian Mbappe's successful game consisted of two goals which brought his total career club goals to 250. He scored his second goal in the 89th minute, rebounding from a saved penalty that was awarded after a video review revealed a foul on teammate Randal Kolo Muani by Brest's Lilian Brassier.
  • Mbappe received a yellow card for excessive celebration and taunting of Brest supporters after scoring his winning goal, leading to an exchange of insults between the player and the crowd.
  • PSG's first goal in the game was scored by midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery in the 16th minute, evading a challenge to unleash a powerful strike into the top corner.
  • Brest managed to counter PSG twice, first with a downward header from Benin striker Steve Mounie, and then an equalizer from winger Jeremy Le Douaron. However, Brest was unable to capitalize on their strong second half performance to take the lead.
  • Despite the victory, PSG remains a point behind Ligue 1 leader Nice, who defeated Clermont 1-0 earlier in the week.
