Kylian Mbappe ended a goal drought by scoring a goal and providing an assist in the Paris Saint-Germain's 3-0 victory over Strasbourg, helping the team take a provisional lead in the French league.
Mbappe's league tally for the season increased to eight after he scored a penalty in the 10th minute, awarded following a foul on Goncalo Ramos.
Carlos Soler and Fabian Ruiz were the other scorers for PSG; Soler found the net with an assist from Mbappe while Ruiz secured the win by dribbling past a defender and scoring in the 77th minute.
With this victory, PSG are now at the top of the league table with 18 points, edging out Monaco by one point who are yet to play against Metz.
PSG's win comes ahead of a crucial Champions League match against AC Milan, hence coach Luis Enrique opted for player rotation with Ousmane Dembele and Randal Kolo Muani coming off the bench in the second half.
