• Since becoming Pittsburgh’s GM in 2023, Dubas said on the Cam and Strick podcast that he has used the Mason Marchment-for-Denis Malgin trade as a guiding lesson in evaluating talent.
• Marchment went on to post 20-goal seasons with the Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars before joining the Seattle Kraken, while Malgin scored just two goals in 31 games for the Maple Leafs.
