Kyle Chandler in Talks to Play Hal Jordan in DC's 'Lanterns' Series

The Emmy-winning actor is negotiating to join HBO's high-profile Green Lantern adaptation, set to be a pivotal part of the new DC Universe.

Kyle Chandler, known for 'Friday Night Lights' and 'Bloodline,' is in negotiations to play Hal Jordan in the upcoming 'Lanterns' series.
The series will feature Hal Jordan and John Stewart, two Green Lantern Corps members investigating a murder on Earth.
Josh Brolin was initially considered for the role, but he passed; casting for John Stewart is still ongoing.
The show is part of the first chapter of the revamped DC Universe under James Gunn and Peter Safran, titled 'Gods and Monsters.'
Produced by HBO in association with Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios, 'Lanterns' will have eight episodes and is expected to begin filming in 2025.
