- Class 1 selection uses a computerised lottery under KVS rules that include a 25% Right to Education quota and SC/ST/OBC reservations, with priority for children of central government and defence personnel.
- Eligibility is age-based as of March 31, 2026, with Class 1 requiring six years and Balvatika bands set at 3–4, 4–5, and 5–6 years, and applicants must upload a birth certificate, a recent photo, and proof of residence, plus caste or service certificates if needed.
