Overview
- Flames erupted around 2:42 am near the gurdwara on CST Road in Kapadia Nagar and were classified as a Level II blaze minutes later.
- About 15–20 shops and storage units holding automobile spares, tyres, wiring and scrap were gutted across roughly 3,000 square feet.
- More than ten fire brigade vehicles, including jumbo tankers and fire engines, fought the blaze for hours before full extinguishment at 7:24 am, followed by cooling operations.
- The BMC said adjacent structures were protected by the prompt response, with no casualties reported and an investigation underway to establish the source.
- The Mumbai Traffic Police temporarily closed the SCLR southbound for firefighting access and later restored traffic, as a separate Worli apartment fire the previous night was contained with residents evacuated safely.
