Overview

• Train services are suspended from October 4 to 26 between Volkmarsen and Korbach with an hourly rail‑replacement bus service that keeps connections to Kassel.
• Replacement buses serve Külte every two hours, peak extra buses run on weekday mornings, and a Bad Arolsen–Korbach shuttle secures links to trains for Marburg, Frankenberg and Brilon.
• The B252 in Twiste will be fully closed October 13–19, extending bus travel times, and NVV will operate an additional hourly minibus between Twiste and Korbach with guaranteed transfer to the replacement service.
• Preparatory work at Volkmarsen’s Wetterweg (K6) begins September 29 with a local road closure through October 24 as the crossing protection is renewed with LED signals, half barriers and a new control house.
• In Bad Arolsen, the Rauchstraße steel rail bridge will be replaced using prefabricated components after October 4, with the street already closed and night, weekend and holiday shifts planned into early November.
