KTM Launches RC 160 in India at Rs 1.85 Lakh

The new faired 160 targets first-time sportbike buyers with RC-series hardware at a lower entry point.

Overview

  • The RC 160 shares the 164.2 cc liquid-cooled single from the 160 Duke with a 6‑speed gearbox and assist-and-slipper clutch, producing roughly 19 hp and 15.5 Nm.
  • Its package includes a trellis frame, 37 mm upside-down fork, rear monoshock, 17-inch alloys, 320 mm front and 230 mm rear discs, and dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode.
  • Features comprise all-LED lighting, an LCD instrument console, and a 13.75-litre tank, with navigation available on the TA variant.
  • Positioned below the RC 200 and RC 390 as KTM’s most affordable fully faired model, it sits about Rs 15,000 above the 160 Duke.
  • KTM claims a 10,200 rpm redline and 118 km/h top speed, with nationwide dealership availability confirmed; earlier higher local OTR quotes reflected state taxes and fees.
