Overview
- James Hardesty, 35, was arrested just before midnight on Sept. 18 after troopers searched a residence in the Hardy community of Pike County.
- Troopers reported seizing roughly 23.5 pounds of suspected marijuana, 192 grams of suspected fentanyl, 35 bottles of liquid THC, 2,162 THC edible units, and six ounces of psilocybin mushrooms.
- Authorities also recovered 22 firearms, drug paraphernalia, and about $1,500 in cash during the search.
- Hardesty faces multiple charges including trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking more than five pounds of marijuana, trafficking in legend drugs, trafficking in a controlled substance with more than 10 hallucinogens, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
