Overview
- The degree was awarded at Karnataka State Law University's seventh convocation at the Farmers' Knowledge Centre, University of Agricultural Sciences, in Dharwad on November 5.
- Karnataka Governor and KSLU Chancellor Thaawarchand Gehlot presented the honour to S Abdul Nazeer.
- Minister for Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs and Legislation H. K. Patil attended in his role as the university's Pro-Chancellor.
- In his address, Nazeer thanked the university for conferring the Doctor of Laws degree on him.
- The university also awarded an honorary doctorate to senior advocate V. Sudhish Pai, and retired Supreme Court judge Shivaraj Patil used the convocation address to urge young lawyers to prepare for challenges posed by artificial intelligence.
