KRL Complete Comeback to Beat PTV as MIT Solutions Maintain Upper Hand Over SBP

Late bowling bursts overturned early leads and left both Round 6 President’s Trophy matches positioned to influence team standings and player selection.

Overview

At Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium, Pakistan Television held a first-innings advantage after Israr Hussain took five wickets for 56 to help bowl Khan Research Laboratories out for 129.
KRL overturned that deficit by chasing 224 to win by six wickets, with Iftikhar Ahmed unbeaten on 76 and Imran Rafiq 50 not out while Saqib Khan took five for 37 to finish the match.
At the Diamond Cricket Ground, MIT Solutions finished their first innings on 376 with Abuzar Tariq top-scoring on 77 and Khalid Usman making 41 with significant bowling returns across the match.
State Bank of Pakistan responded strongly by reaching 344 all out in reply, led by Rameez Aziz’s 84 and contributions from Abdullah Fazal and Sardar Hassan Raza Khan, before MIT Solutions were 98 for 3 in their second innings.
These results underline how first-innings leads and single-bowler hauls are deciding four-day President’s Trophy games and how strong domestic performances can raise players’ prospects for national selection.
