- Parvez (also reported as Farveez) Dharwad has been untraceable since September 13 after leaving Gadag saying he was travelling to Bengaluru and his mobile phone has been switched off.
- A letter found at his office and widely circulated alleges prolonged delays in release of government funds, stalled rural works, about ₹6 crore of extra departmental expenditure on old projects, repeated visits and harassment by contractors, and expresses his intent to end his life.
