Overview

• After meeting TSMC CEO C. C. Wei in Taipei, Michael Kretschmer called the Dresden investment Germany’s largest current foreign project and urged faster, lighter-touch EU regulation.
• TSMC’s Dresden fab, developed with partners, is reported at around €10 billion and is expected to generate thousands of regional semiconductor jobs.
