Overview
- Krafton confirmed BGMI Air will launch in India on December 10, 2026 and published consumer-facing details about the build and pre-launch plans.
- The company says the Air app will be a separate Android download with an initial install of about 1GB and no forced extra packages before a player’s first match.
- Existing BGMI accounts will work in BGMI Air and the company says cross-play will let Air users match with players on the regular BGMI client.
- Krafton will run a closed beta from November 20 to November 24 in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata that requires applicants to submit a 15–60 second audition video, be 18 or older, hold a government ID and travel to test sites at their own cost.
- Krafton reported strong interest with about 14 million Google Play pre-registrations, but coverage differs on minimum device specs — one report lists 1.5GB RAM and an Adreno 306 GPU while others say Krafton has not formally published minimum requirements.
