Overview
- Citing Saturday's police report, authorities now say Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has logged 80 terror incidents since the Feb 26–27 launch of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, down from 240 before the campaign.
- Official data show attacks peaked at 48 in the ninth week of the year and fell to 12 by the twelfth week, with 323 total incidents recorded so far in 2026.
- Officials say the operation hit militant sanctuaries inside Afghanistan and removed planners tied to attacks in Islamabad and Bannu, reducing threats to both civilians and security forces in KP.
- Information Minister Attaullah Tarar reported hundreds of Taliban- and TTP-linked fighters killed or injured and said forces destroyed or captured more than 200 tanks, armored vehicles and artillery pieces as well as hundreds of posts.
- The campaign followed late-2025 border clashes and a ceasefire mediated by Qatar and Turkiye, and Pakistani officials say they shared intelligence on TTP sites with Afghan authorities during the push.
