Overview
- Leaders from more than 20 political parties, tribal elders, bar councils, journalists and civil society groups are slated to take part.
- Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will participate while Speaker Babar Saleem Swati will preside over the proceedings.
- Governor Faisal Karim Kundi confirmed his attendance after receiving a formal invitation from a PTI delegation.
- Around 400 authorised participants are expected, with access limited to those carrying special entry passes under a dedicated security plan.
- The jirga is scheduled in two sessions, 10am–noon and after Zuhr, with a concluding declaration to be issued by the chief minister and the speaker.
