• Todd Hazelwood set up the victory from the early stint and Brodie Kostecki closed it out, leading a Mustang podium sweep over Cameron Waters/Mark Winterbottom and Matt Payne/Garth Tander.
• Polesitters Broc Feeney and Jamie Whincup were undone by an airlock in the refuelling vent at their first stop, forcing Whincup to exceed his planned co-driver laps and leaving the car 18th.
• Supercars implemented new Safety Car procedures with Slow Zones and a closed pit lane during those periods, and confusion in practice contributed to contact between Whincup and teammate Scott Pye.
• Ford received parity adjustments that reduce Mustang drag with a rear-wing shift and smaller mirrors, and the updated package preceded a Ford lockout at The Bend.
• Kostecki now leads the Ryco Enduro Cup and is assured of a top-10 Finals berth, with four remaining spots still in play for Anton De Pasquale, Ryan Wood, Thomas Randle and Kai Allen heading to Bathurst.
