Korean Cheerleading Film 'Victory' Secures Global Release Dates

The uplifting high school drama, starring Lee Hye-ri, will premiere in multiple countries following its debut at the New York Asian Film Festival.

Victory will be released in South Korea on August 14, with North American and Vietnamese releases on August 16.
The film will also be shown in Indonesia, Taiwan, Cambodia, and Thailand from late August to September.
Victory features Lee Hye-ri of K-pop group Girl’s Day and Park Se-wan as the lead characters.
The story follows a high school cheerleading team that inspires their village and supports an underdog soccer team.
Directed by Park Beom-su, the film has drawn comparisons to 'Bring It On' and 'Bottoms.'
