Korean Air to Debut Premium Class on 11 Refurbished 777-300ERs

With a 300 billion-won budget, the retrofit equips 11 777-300ERs with a 40-seat tier featuring 15.6-inch 4K entertainment screens, extending Wi-Fi coverage to every cabin.

  • Korean Air plans to start Premium Class service on its 11 retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER jets on medium-haul routes in mid-September.
  • Premium Class cabins contain 40 seats in a 2-4-2 layout offering roughly 50% more space, 130-degree recline, leg and footrests, ergonomic headrests and privacy shields.
  • Each seat features a 15.6-inch 4K entertainment monitor larger than those in business class and passengers have access to in-flight Wi-Fi.
  • Fares will run around 110 percent of standard economy and include elevated meal service on Armani/Casa tableware plus priority ground handling.
  • The full-scale cabin overhaul also introduces a 1-2-1 configuration in Prestige Class and a 3-4-3 layout in economy to modernize the fleet.
