Overview

  • Korean Air has commenced a KRW 300 billion retrofit of 11 Boeing 777-300ERs by removing first-class cabins and installing Premium Class.
  • The new cabin features 40 seats in a 2-4-2 layout with 39–41-inch pitch, 19.5-inch width, up to 130-degree recline, leg and footrests and ergonomic headrests.
  • Passengers will enjoy a refined single-tray meal served on Armani/Casa tableware, business-class beverages and priority ground services including Morning Calm check-in, baggage handling and Sky Priority boarding.
  • The project, originally launched in 2018 and paused during the pandemic, aligns with Korean Air’s wider cabin modernization tied to its Asiana Airlines acquisition.
  • The airline plans to expand the cabin upgrade to future Airbus A350 and Boeing 777-9 aircraft after completing the 777-300ER rollout.
