Overview

• Police arrested local BJP leader Chandan Gupta and Naihati resident Manas Chandra Saha for alleged assault on officers during the Aug. 9 Nabanna Abhijan clashes.
• Both suspects have been charged with attempt to murder and obstructing government servants following analysis of CCTV, drone and body-camera footage.
