Overview

• No trains will run between Mahanayak Uttam Kumar (Tollygunge) and Shahid Khudiram (Birji) from 10 pm on August 30 until 4 pm on August 31.
• Metro crews will implement a “one turn out” system at Shahid Khudiram to enable direct up-to-down line changeovers at the station.
• The current reversal method has led to 10–40 minute delays on the Blue Line and forced some trains to terminate at Mahanayak Uttam Kumar.
• Since cracks were detected at Kavi Subhash about a month ago, Blue Line services have been curtailed to terminate at Shahid Khudiram.
• On August 31, special services will operate from 7 am for WBPSC exam candidates on the Blue Line, and the Green Line will start an hour early at 8 am.
