Overview
- The network carried more than 9.82 lakh passengers on Maha Panchami (Sept. 27), topping the previous high of 9.61 lakh set on Oct. 9, 2024.
- The Blue Line handled over 7.43 lakh riders that day while the Green Line carried about 2.21 lakh, according to Metro data.
- On Sasthi (Sept. 28), in-app sales hit a single-day record of over 1.10 lakh mobile QR tickets, with total ridership crossing 8.33 lakh.
- To meet demand, Kolkata Metro is operating 3,021 special services from Sept. 27 to Oct. 2 across the Blue, Green, Purple and Yellow lines, 651 more than last year.
- Night-long operations are scheduled on Saptami, Ashtami and Navami, with trains running until about 4 a.m. on the Blue and Green corridors and increased frequencies on Purple and Yellow.
