Overview

• Commercial services on the fully linked East–West Green Line are operating seven days a week, with 186 trains Monday–Saturday at eight‑minute intervals and 104 on Sundays at 15‑minute intervals.
• The Green Line includes India’s first under‑river metro section, a roughly 520‑metre tunnel beneath the Hooghly now open to passengers.
• Weekday operations on the Yellow Line’s Noapara–Jai Hind Bimanbandar airport link start August 25 with 120 trains daily at 10–15 minute intervals and no weekend service.
• The Orange Line’s Kavi Subhash–Beleghata segment begins weekday service on August 25 with 60 daily trains at approximately 25‑minute intervals and no weekend runs.
• Separately, the Blue Line increases to 284 weekday trains from August 25, up from 262, to meet rising demand.
