Overview

  • Yellow Line services began between Noapara and Jai Hind Bimanbandar, creating the city’s first direct Metro link to the airport.
  • The Yellow Line is operating 120 weekday trips at 10–15 minute intervals, with first trains at 7:58 a.m., last departures at 8:00 p.m., and no weekend services.
  • The Orange Line extension from Kavi Subhash to Beleghata launched with 60 weekday trips every 25 minutes, running from 8:00 a.m. to 8:05 p.m., with no weekend services.
  • Passengers reported quicker and cheaper journeys, using new interchanges to connect with the Green and Blue lines for Sealdah and Howrah.
  • Early glitches at Noapara included incorrect platform announcements and display errors that staff described as first‑day teething issues, while authorities plan a combined 366 daily services across the three active corridors, per Indian Express via CNBC-TV18.
