Joseph Tsai, co-founder of Alibaba, acquired full ownership of the team and Barclays Center in 2019 for about $3.3 billion.
The Brooklyn Nets are valued at nearly $4 billion, ranking them as the 13th most valuable team in the NBA.
The Koch family, worth an estimated $60.6 billion, would become the second-richest ownership group in the NBA if the deal goes through.
