Knicks Thrive Post-Trade as Anunoby Shines and Randle, Brunson Excel

Despite a Warm Welcome, Barrett and Quickley's Return to Madison Square Garden Ends in Defeat

  • The New York Knicks have been thriving since their late-December trade with the Toronto Raptors, which saw them acquire OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn in exchange for RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley.
  • The Knicks are 9-2 since the deal and Anunoby’s plus-190 rating on the court is the best in the NBA since Jan. 1.
  • The trade has also allowed for increased performance from Knicks' star forward Julius Randle and guard Jalen Brunson, with Randle averaging 25.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game since the trade, and Brunson averaging 28.9 points and 8.4 assists.
  • Meanwhile, Barrett and Quickley have been adjusting to their new roles with the Raptors, with Quickley averaging 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game since the trade, and Barrett averaging 20.2 points.
  • Despite a warm welcome back to Madison Square Garden, Barrett and Quickley's return was marred by a 126-100 loss to the Knicks.
