Knicks' Center Jericho Sims Undergoes Season-Ending Shoulder Surgery

New York Knicks center Jericho Sims had surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn labrum and cuff tendon in his right shoulder.
The procedure went successfully but ended Sims' second season in the NBA.
Sims is expected to recover in time for training camp in September.
Sims played an increasing role for the Knicks this season, appearing in 52 games with 16 starts and averaging 3.4 points and 4.7 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per game.
The Knicks won their first-round playoff series and will face the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference semifinals starting Sunday.
