KLM Adds Hyderabad–Amsterdam Nonstop as Fourth India Gateway

- The inaugural Amsterdam–Hyderabad service landed on September 3 and the first return flight KL874 departed Hyderabad at 02:20 local time.
- KLM will operate three weekly Amsterdam–Hyderabad flights on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays using Boeing 777-200ERs with 35 business, 24 premium economy and 229 economy seats.
- Hyderabad becomes KLM’s fourth India gateway after Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, offering onward access to more than 160 destinations via Amsterdam Schiphol.
- Across its India network, KLM plans 22 weekly departures in summer, increasing to 27 in winter from the four gateways.
- KLM executives reported early flights fully booked and cited market indicators including an 18% rise in intercontinental travel, roughly 40,000 new passports issued daily in India and nearly 80% growth in KLM’s India passenger numbers versus pre-COVID, with IndiGo providing domestic feed.
