Overview

  • The US$328 million investment aims to accelerate development of commercial and industrial solar, battery and microgrid projects nationwide.
  • It represents KKR’s first Asia-Pacific deployment under its Global Climate Transition strategy, which has targeted over US$34 billion in sustainability assets since 2010.
  • The deal follows KKR’s June agreement to acquire independent power producer Zenith Energy, expanding its footprint in Australia’s power sector.
  • CleanPeak Energy, founded in 2017 by Philip Graham and Jon Hare, operates over 50 distributed generation sites with 140 MW of solar capacity and 35 MWh of battery storage.
  • Completion is expected in the second half of 2025, subject to customary regulatory approvals, and reflects rising corporate demand for reliable, cost-effective clean energy.
