• At the CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy framed the recently announced GST slab reductions as an immediate boost to middle-class home-buying capacity.
• He praised Telangana’s permanent Real Estate Regulatory Authority and appellate tribunal, highlighting the registration of around 10,000 projects and 4,000 agents under RERA-TG.
• The minister credited low Reserve Bank of India interest rates and income tax exemptions up to ₹12 lakh with making housing loans more affordable and manageable for borrowers.
• Kishan Reddy attributed expanded homeownership to flagship welfare schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat, PM Ujjwala and Ayushman Bharat lifting millions out of poverty.
• He affirmed that the Centre’s Ease of Living urban improvements have further supported the expansion of the real estate sector.
